The VW-BN2E works with compatible Panasonic SD/SDHC camcorders that feature the USB Host function. Connect the camcorder via USB to the drive and just by pressing a single button you can copy recordings straight from SDHC/SD Memory Card on to a DVD disc, maintaining the original Full HD format.
You can also playback your disc in the optimum image quality by connecting the drive to a compatiable camcorder via USB and then connecting the camcorder to an HDTV via HDMI.
The drive can copy to disc in AVCHD or MPEG-2 formats (MPEG-2 only on DVD-/+RW and DVD-/+R discs) The drive is compatible with DVD-RAM, DVD-/+RW, DVD-/+R, DVD-R DL, CD-RW and CD-R discs.
